Lab

The laboratory at Nocona General Hospital offers services for our hospital inpatients, emergency room patients, and clinic patients as well as for individuals on an outpatient basis, including those with orders from other providers and facilities. Some of the diagnostic services offered include hematology, serology, immunology, urinalysis, chemistry, special chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank services. These services play a vital role in assisting your physician with diagnosis, treatment, and management of illnesses and diseases – right here at home. This comprehensive menu of testing procedures is with orders from any physician, and results will be sent securely back to your ordering physician once tests are completed. NGH utilizes both CPL and Quest for specimens that require more extensive testing; however, results are still managed locally by our lab once complete.

Staffed by two licensed Medical Laboratory Scientists and a licensed phlebotomist, the NGH lab uses state-of-the-art equipment and provide routine and emergency diagnostic services 24 hours a day.

The NGH lab undergoes stringent inspection every two years by the Department of State Health Services and is Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certified.

Saturday: 9:00 AM – Noon

Outpatient appointments are encouraged, but not required.
